Raindancer Car Wash – You Really CAN Buy That “New Car” Sensation!
Steve Hoffman started Raindancer Car Wash in 1981 on Freeman’s Bridge Road in Glenville. Raindancer’s second location on Albany Shaker Road in Colonie was established in 1985. Each location aims to shatter expectations and add a bit of unexpected charm with on-site koi ponds, perennial gardens, bird feeders/baths, decorative driftwood and stonework. The business marries modern wash technology with the look of yesteryears’ automotive greats with a motif inspired by the slick looks of the classic ’57 Chevy Bel Air.
The Glenville location features a 90 foot touch-free car wash, a light-touch exterior car wash and five self service bays; the Colonie location offers a 100 foot light-touch exterior wash station and four self service bays. The bays feature the industry’s best vacuums offering amazing suction for only 50¢ for 3 minutes and spot-free water and foam brushes, running at 50¢ per minute. Their self service stations can leave your car with a customized clean in a few short minutes!
Raindancer’s pricing ranges from $8 to $12 per wash, but drops to $6/wash when you buy a book of four washes. They also offer an Unlimited Monthly Car Wash Club for $19.95 and Super Unlimited Washes for $29.95 per month. If you’re looking for a shine you can really rely on and an atmosphere as auto-conscious as the 50’s and 60’s, the Raindancer is ready to amaze!
